Survey among 17 years old in Switzerland

Survey of 17-year olds in Switzerland, on behalf of the Swiss Federal Commission for Child and Youth Affairs (FCCY)

The study is primarily based on a Switzerland-wide representative survey of young people born in 1997. The survey covers questions across a wide range of topics. The main focus is on how young people view their own educational opportunities, their stance on current socio-political issues – such as migration, equal opportunities and discrimination, family models and relations with Europe – as well as their engagement with politics and society in general. Wherever possible, the analyses included a comparison of the results of the survey with findings from previous surveys and from surveys of the whole population (especially MOSAiCH 2013).

Project lead and realisation: Michelle Beyeler, Isabelle Stadelmann-Steffen and Sarah Bütikofer

Project term: July 2014 to November 2015
